Limestone Alumni, Doniven Hill Bush, is now a National Collegian Champion in Speech/Forensics.

Bush accomplished a lot in his years at limestone. He participated in multiple events but his main event was poetry and informational speaking. He was known at the rock for his phenomenal attitude and his ability to make others feel welcome and respected, he never failed to put a smile on the faces of those around him.

Doniven made it to the IHSA State tournament his senior year 2018/2019 for Poetry and Info. He took home 7th place for the entire state of Illinois in Poetry reading! Mrs. Bruce says “He is an amazing performer and from his first year on the team as a freshman to his performance at the State tournament watching him grow with his confidence and his abilities was a wonderful sight, when he graduated in the class of 2019 we were sad to see him go but extremely excited to see where his talents would take him. ”

The whole speech team misses having Doniven’s positive attitude and bright spirit on the team but they love cheering him on now as he continues his journey in the Speech/Forensics world!
