Abe Lincoln Book Award nominees on display in the library

Every school in Illinois with a certified librarian on staff recently received a grant from the state for their library. Each school was awarded 88 cents per student, but when a school has a low number of students, they receive a minimum amount of $850.  This grant can be used for anything involving the library. At Limestone, the money is used to purchase books on the Abraham Lincoln Book Award list or extra books for English teachers. Limestone librarian Jennifer Campbell is very honored to receive this every year.  Campbell said,  “It’s an honor to receive this every year I always look forward to receiving it.”
