LCHS stages A Midsummer Night’s Dream

LCHS+stages+A+Midsummer+Nights+Dream

Get ready for the fall play this year, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. Madison Jester, this year’s play director, explained,  “It’s a comedic tale of fairies, actors, misunderstandings, true love, and a lot of magical hijinks. After getting lost in the woods during a romance-driven escape from the city, four lovers catch the eye of the king of the fairies. In trying to solve this lover’s quarrel, the fairies’ magic just makes everything all the more complicated.”

A Midsummer Night’s Dream, first performed around 1596, is set in Athens, Greece, and is the story of events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, King of Athens. Jester said, “Directing in general is obviously fun, but directing Shakespeare holds a special place in my heart. These silly stories have much more under the surface than they appear, and it’s honestly wonderful that I get to share the chaos with not only our cast of talented actors but the audience as well!”

Tickets are $5 at the door, and the show dates are Friday, November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
