On February 17 and 18 Josh Ebbert, a business teacher at Limestone, presented at the 92nd Annual Illinois Association For Career and Technical Education Conference (IACTE) at the Marriott in Normal, Illinois. In order to be selected, Ebbert went through an application process. Once accepted he was given a place and time to speak.

Ebbert presented some of the activities he uses in his Orientation to Bussiness class in order to share his ideas with other educators. “It gives teachers other ideas or things that they can use in the classrooms,” said Ebbert.  He further explained, “Teachers are always looking for new things or new ways to do things.”

Some of the presented activities included generic vs name brand taste testing, creating a Monopoly game, food trading to represent global trade and exchange, and an economic indicator project

Ebbert was approached after his presentation and asked to possibly present this information again at some Family Consumer Science (FCS) classes at Illinois State University.
