Mr. Ronnie Baskin has been hired as the new network specialist and esports coach.
Baskin comes to Limestone from Houston, Texas where he was a technician at the British International School of Houston. He shifted to Limestone because it is more in his skill set.
Baskin wants to influence kids to always take care of their equipment. Most kids are unaware that they can take their Chromebooks with them after high school if they have paid their technology fee. Baskin shared that those Chomebooks could be used by students in college instead of having to purchase a new device.
He is enjoying his role as esports coach. ”I got to meet a few of the players. They all seem really excited. We got some students who are reigning state champions in esports, so it’s really great to meet kids who are really excited and passionate about this,” said Baskin. A gamer his whole life he plans to, “[bring] some extra flavor to the program.” He also coached esports in his last school.
