Brandy Grena, Scooter’s general manager said, “Having fun with my employees and serving amazing wonderful food and coffee to all of our favorite people in the world which is our customers,” is what she enjoys most about Scooter’s. When asked what Scooter’s means for Bartonville, she said, “Scooters opened up some job opportunities, especially for high school students and college students, and is bringing in quite a bit of revenue for Bartonville. It is a lot more convenient than having to drive to East Peoria or Peoria to get those more refined drinks that everybody craves.”
“I recommend any of our drinks. Something cool about Scooter’s is you can get any of our drinks with or without caffeine” she added. Grena’s favorite drink is the Peanut Butter Power, which has an ice cream base and includes real peanut butter. She also enjoys the strawberry acai refresher, which has a base of fruit flavors and green coffee extract.
Senior Raleigh Bart, Scooter’s regular said, “I believe that Scooter’s is Bartonville’s Starbucks.” Bart’s favorite Scooter’s drink is the pumpkin spice latte. She gets that drink about three times a week. Bart usually goes before work for energy, but if she has not eaten, she grabs a smoothie from Scooter’s. Bart also loves the matcha smoothie, and she recommends getting it with soy milk.
Scooter’s was founded in 1998 in Bellevue, Nebraska, and has almost 700 stores in locations all over the United States. Their slogan is, “Amazing People, Amazing drinks… Amazingly fast.” Scooter’s signature drink is the Carmelicious, which is espresso with caramel sauce blended in an ice cream base.
