
On Friday, March 14, Limestone is hosting a College and Career Day to help students decide what they plan to do after high school, and to explore their interests.
This day will be split into four parts. One part will be a college and career fair. During the fair, students will talk to different colleges and careers to learn about the opportunities available with the organization.
The next part will be having different classes to sign up for classes that teach about different interests you might have. Principal Mrs. Erin Vietti shared the different classes that are going to be offered. ” Classes like Managing anxiety 101, Job interview Dos and Don’ts, Pursuing a career in natural sciences, Your personality and a future career options, Athletic recruiting 101, Digital organization, Changing a tire, Science of well being, AI, Choosing your major, Sign language and deaf culture, Grilling 101, Beginning ukulele workshop, Find a moment of peace, Study skills, maybe bodybuilding, wilderness hacks, and personal finance.” There will be many options for students to choose from.
Another part of the day will be Guest speakers. One of the guest speakers is Brittany Richmond, a mental health expert, and Marc Supreme from DIGIM who will talk about planning for life after high school and college.
Vietti said “It should be a fun day and hopefully students will find some things that are beneficial.”
