Q&A with Boys XC Coach Glaza

Q&A with Boys XC Coach Glaza

Max Chrestenson, Writer

Q: What is your opinion on having no state series and does that have an affect any of the players?

A: Excited for regionals. Shazam timing is putting on a state type meet but can’t be coached by Glaza.  Having no state series definitely affects them but at the same time we have known since the start of the season there wouldn’t be a state meet and any season is better than no season.

Q: What is your overall feeling on the team this year?

A: I love the group. We have lost some kids from last year but the chemistry we have as a team is growing and evolving more and more each day and it makes me happy that even though we lost some kids we are building and evolving as a team.

Q: Have there been any big wins so far?

A: No big wins so far. Most meets are small due to covid.

Q: How has the season gone so far?

A: I enjoy the season so far and am excited for the future of the team.

Q: Any additional information?

A: Lots of unexpected things. First cancelation at Detwiler Park. Way less meets on the schedule than past years due to covid regulations. Cancelations hurt the team because we only have a certain amount of meets this year.
