At the start of this semester, Joe Miars was named Head of Maintenance.  Miars is a 15-year employee at LCHS. 

Miars is originally from the area and attended LCHS himself.  Before coming to work at Limestone, he worked as an airport mechanic and seemed to work with many former LCHS students.  Miars explained,  “Working with young people, they all went to school here so it made sense.”

Already this semester,  Miars has finished a project installing a sidewalk to the softball fields from the North parking lot for wheelchair access. He hinted at future projects but continued, “There’s a lot of projects coming up, but some you’ll just have to wait and be surprised.”
