Unified Soccer Scores Silver

On October 10th, the Unified Soccer Team brought home silver at the Homewood Flossmoor High School Unified Soccer Tournament.

Gameday consisted of arriving at Homewood, warming up, and playing their first game, which Limestone won.

The team then went on to play a second game, where they earned silver medals.

To finish the day off, the team had to ride two and a half hours back home.

Coach Abby Tyra explained, “It’s fun to see our kids play together, play hard and have fun! The smiles on their faces are the best! We are so proud of all who competed and brought us home a 2nd place trophy at the Unity Cup!”.

Senior team member Ava Hopwood said “I hope that this team can have lots of fun and more people can get involved. I hope that we can have more games next year and be the best team we can be!”

The unified team now has 11 people. Students do not need to be in unified PE to be in unified activities. All are welcome! Be sure to follow @lchsunified_pe to get in the know!
