SAT and PSAT coming to LCHS October 14

On Wednesday, October 14th seniors will  finally take the SAT after missing the chance to do so in the spring due to the COVID shut down. Juniors will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT on the same day, and underclassmen will have an at home learning day.

COVID has still caused concerns for this year’s testing.  “There will be around 15 students in each classroom for safety reasons,” said head counselor Mrs. Stephanie Decker.  Students who are remote will have to go to school in person to take this test, emails should have been sent with more information for students who are remote learners.

“With the end of last school year being shortened and getting used to online (at the end of the school year), I’m sure students did not quite know where to begin to study for the SAT especially over the summer,” said Decker.   Decker also mentioned, “They have free online practice materials,” and encouraged students to check out the SAT resources available on Khan Academy.

The SAT is an LCHS graduation requirement.
