Congratulations to the Varsity Rockets volleyball team who defeated Metamora in three sets to win the Regional Championship.
The Rockets had an exciting win over Metamora. The gym was packed and the crowd was loud! Head Coach Shelly Stoner shared her favorite moment of the game, “The final POINT! That was a very intense game and the feeling of the final point and winning is the best feeling.”she explained.
Stoner acknowledges that the team had to face some challenges during the game “The team was resilient- no matter if the call was against us or we made an error we came together and executed.” The game was full of energy and hard work the Rockets fought hard for the win. The stat leaders were:
Kills- Mia Lamberti 16 and Bryn Williamson 12
Assists- Bryn Williamson 19 and Mia Lamberti 17
Digs- Khloe Stear 24
Blocks- Ella Karmenzind 2
Aces- Mia Lamberti 5
The Rockets will play at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5 in Ottawa for round one of the sectional tournament.
