As the fall season approaches for Nick Kneip, so does Halloween. If anyone has lived in Bartonville for a while or driven through they might have seen big monsters and skeletons in the front yard of Kneip’s house. This spectacle is called Fright on Pfeiffer
For the last 5 years, Kneip has run Fright on Pfeiffer with his family. “I love everything Halloween! I’ve worked in the haunted house industry for over 20 years, so I wanted to bring something like that but more home-style to our neighborhood,” said Kneip.
Halloween usually arrives on October 31st, but for Kneip it arrives in August. In August Kneip sets up everything. It takes time for Kneip to set up everything and to make sure it is correct and working. Then on Halloween night only, Kneip adds special animatronics to his displays.
As a kid and an adult, this is the place to go for Halloween treats. Fright on Pfeiffer hands out king-sized candy bars and sodas. Adults may get a tattoo gift card, and four-legged guests can also get a treat. There are also plenty of photo ops. Kniep loves to see all the costumes that come by and see the community show up.
Fright on Pfeiffer is located at 5006 West Pfeiffer Road. Halloween fun will be from 3-8 pm. The experience will be less intense for little ones from 3-4 pm. There is parking on Pfeiffer and additional parking at Bartonville Christian Church.
