Limestone’s boys soccer team defeated Morton with a score of 3-2 for the first time since 1994.
This is a huge win for the team. “Beating them proves we aren’t some little team,” explained Coach Jordan Adams.
This win adds on to their record of currently 10-4-1. Coach Rob Fitch shares that they are only one win away from their 300th program win.
“A highlight of the game was the band playing the school fight song as the final whistle blew. The fans and players all started singing along. It was a great spontaneous moment of school spirit.” Fitch said.
Adams explained that his favorite moment of the game was when Roman Cassidy scored the game-winning goal.
“Overall every member of this team gave their energy and hard work into this win,” said Fitch. The stand-out players of the game were Ryota Kammera, Joey Shields, and Camdyn Yeske.
