D.I.G.I.M, future planning movement and college fair by the Yani Collective, was attended by almost 70 LCHS students on Tuesday, Oct 24.
This distinctive opportunity aims to educate and expose students to diverse career fields, aiding them in their preparation for future endeavors. The initiative was launched in the autumn of 2022 by a former college Marc Supreme, an administrator who sought to provide support to students planning for life after high school in a unique manner.
Junior attendee Alaina Armstrong, who displayed a keen interest in both the arts and STEM, attended this trip and expressed her enthusiasm. She was greatly influenced by the presence of renowned celebrities and producers who shared valuable insights about their careers and the vast opportunities of professional fields.
Billy Weaks, the trip administrator, asserts that this upcoming excursion presents an excellent chance for students to gain valuable insights into potential career paths they may wish to pursue in the future. Weaks said, “I think it’s a great opportunity for students to get information first-hand from people in the field that they want to go into”.
