Headline Anxiety

In recent years there has been an increase in concerning news. Due to this more and more headline anxiety is being reported.

Headline anxiety consists of feeling bombarded with 24-hour news whilst feeling helpless to it, which is leading to increased anxiety.

Different ways to cope with headline anxiety would be limiting social media and working with a trusted adult or therapist on negative feelings you may have.

Situations recently such as, Ukraine/Russia and COVID-19 have shown to cause stress for students, and cause them to isolate.

Limestone staff and the counselors are trying their best to support students through this, and want students to reach out for help. “Reach out for help, we are here for you,” Ms. Panchal states to students.
