The Search for the World’s Best Lip Balm

3. Zum Kiss                             This lip balm is an all natural one found in what my mom calls the "hippie section" of Hyvee. I've tried their vanilla, peppermint, and tangerine flavors. Not only does this lip balm taste amazing, it also does wonders for chapped lips. My overall rating is 5/5.

I’ve tried nearly every lip balm, chapstick, lip gloss, lip rub, lip butter, and lip oil under the sun. I feel as though I’m 99% qualified in this field of lip salves. The 1% is the fact that, no, I don’t have the perspective of a dermatologist or esthetician, but I do have the perspective of someone who has extremely sensitive skin. In this list, I’ll be reviewing 15 different lip balms/chap-sticks and rating them on a scale from 1-5. Keep in mind while reading this, everyone’s skin is different! Just because something works/doesn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it will/won’t for you.

1. Carmex                                  I had to ask some help of my fellow Limelight staff for their feelings on Carmex, as I felt as though my rating might be effected by the fact that carmex gave me an allergic reaction. Before it did gave me that reaction though, it worked pretty well. It helped with really chapped lips and also gives a glossy look. It comes in the normal flavor, (which is really gross), strawberry, or cherry. Overall, I give carmex a 3.5/5
